Keppelom covers casinos that operate outside the British licensing system: what they check, how fast they pay, who regulates them, and what their bonus terms actually say once you open them. We publish for adults in the United Kingdom who have decided to play at these sites and want accurate information before they deposit.
Three kinds of page, and we keep them distinct.
Rankings and reviews. A shortlist of casinos assessed against a published method, refreshed as their behaviour changes. Each review states what we checked and what we could not.
Guides. Standalone explanations of verification, licensing, bonus mechanics, payments, tax and complaints. These exist because most questions players ask are not about which casino to pick — they are about how the machinery works.
Responsible gambling information. On its own page and in the footer of every page, not buried.
We earn commission when a reader opens an account through a link on this site. That is the entire business model and we would rather state it plainly than hide it in a footer.
What it does not buy: position in our rankings, a score, a removed drawback, or a review we would not otherwise publish. Every casino we list carries a Cons section, and several are ranked below sites that pay us less. If a brand's payout behaviour or verification practice deteriorates, it drops or comes off the list, and that has happened.
We do not accept payment for a specific score or placement, and we do not publish sponsored reviews presented as editorial.
Worth being specific, because the standard in this sector is uneven.
We do not tell readers how to circumvent an active self-exclusion. Where the subject comes up, we say plainly that the scheme is doing what the reader asked it to do, and we link to support.
We do not publish invented test data. If we have not measured a payout time often enough to state a range, we say so instead of printing a number that looks authoritative.
We do not reproduce licence numbers we have not checked against a regulator's own register, and we do not treat a footer badge as evidence of anything.
We do not list casinos whose licence cannot be verified, however good the commercial terms.
Registration, deposit, play and withdrawal on live accounts funded with our own money, plus a full read of the terms and a register check on the licence. The weightings and the full criteria are published on our rating system page so you can disagree with them if you want to.
Editorial is led by Declan Fairhurst, who has covered online gambling regulation and operator behaviour for over a decade. Every page carries an author and a last-updated date. Where a page is revised, the date moves.
If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Factual corrections are made without argument, and we would rather be corrected by a reader than leave a bad figure standing. Use the contact page.
This is a site for adults making an informed choice. It is not for anyone currently self-excluded, and it is not for anyone gambling with money they need. If either applies, the National Gambling Helpline is free and confidential on 0808 8020 133, twenty-four hours a day, and our responsible gambling page lists the tools that work regardless of where a casino is licensed.
