SPC Tuas Service Station now officially opens 24-hours

Singapore Petroleum Company Limited (SPC) unveils its new service station at Tuas Road on Friday, 22 June 2001.

Operating 24 hours daily, the eighth and largest service station is easily accessible to those living or working in the vicinity, offering a wide range of products and services.

The Choices mart, a one-stop convenience store, is popular with its sumptuous spread of local and western hot food and beverages as well as other essentials round the clock to the motoring and general public.

The Tuas service station also provides the latest car wash system from Germany. The Ultra Wash allows motorists to choose various options to suit his washing requirements.

Also available is a new concept auto workshop, Speedy Care. It offers value-for-money car lubrication and maintenance services. And for the comfort of customers, there is an air-conditioned waiting lounge.

Since its soft launch on 14 May 2001, this new generation retail outlet has attracted an increasing number of customers. It has achieved 75% sales budget figure and is expected to generate annual sales revenue of at least
S$5 million.

Located at the junction of Tuas Road and Tuas Avenue 3, this service station is designed to be the benchmark for SPC’s new millennium retail image. Its modern state-of-the-art equipment and facilities not only render efficient and convenient use to customers, it also sets the pace for the Company’s retail business model.

Mr Chris Keong, Senior Vice-President, Marketing said, “The Tuas site reflects SPC’s progressive and innovative image. It will be mirrored in the rest of our retail chain in Singapore as well as in our regional retail ventures.”

To celebrate the official opening of its Tuas Road service station, SPC has launched a comprehensive promotion programme. Mr Vincent Tay, Manager, Retail Sales and Development said, “SPC is giving away free breakfast or goodie bags worth more than $10 to customers on the official opening day. On this occasion, we are also offering 10% cash discount for petrol and 12% discount for diesel purchases for three days. In the next few weeks, more attractive promotion programmes will be introduced.”
