We believe that a company is only as good as its people and continue to position ourselves as the leader in our field through technology leadership and building a people-oriented organisation. We want to continuously nurture our employees so that they grow beyond their current capacity to fulfil their potential.

The Keppel O&M College was thus set up in November 2007 to oversee group-wide development programmes dedicated to Educate, Empower and Energise every talent because every talent matters.

With its customised Leadership, Management and Professional development programmes, the College’s initiatives will enable every talent to Learn, Lead and Leap.

Theses initiatives include:

Management Development Programme
Employees with exemplary performance will be given the opportunity to attend the Management Development Programme. Jointly developed with local educational institutions, this programme provides high quality training to develop participants’ management skills.

Leadership Development Programme
The Leadership Development Programme uses experiential learning techniques to further develop leadership skills.

At the inaugural session facilitated by Focus Adventure Training Centre, participants across Keppel O&M yards had the opportunity to acquire leadership skills and be reinforced with the Keppel O&M Core Values. The programme also served as an ideal platform for employees to learn and interact freely and cultivate a deep sense of camaraderie. Our recent programmes are conducted in collaboration with Outward Bound Singapore (OBS), whereby participants not only develop leadership and team-spirit, but understand and gain meaning and value through purposeful outdoor experiences.

Dialogue with Senior Management
Our monthly networking sessions between senior management and employees provide a platform for feedback and the exchange of ideas.

 

Mentoring Scheme

We recognise that the offshore and marine industry is vast and can be overwhelming for the uninitiated. The Mentoring Scheme provides a mentor who will guide the new employee and soften the learning curves of the Mentees by accelerating their assimilation into the work environment and culture.

Informal Sharing Sessions on Overseas Exposure

Employees who have returned from overseas assignments are invited to share with other Keppelites the challenges, lessons learnt and rewards of being posted overseas. Through this initiative, we seek to broaden minds and inspire more employees to brave new frontiers.
